LINE COOK- SMOG CITY HEIGHTS
Job Type: Full Time, Hourly, non-exempt
Location: Long Beach
Pay: $17.00-$19.00
Responsibilities:
Setting up, working, and maintaining a clean and safe work station
Helps team meet time and quality standards
Monitors quality and consisitency of food products
Effectively communicates team or station needs with leadership
Execution of menu items and prep lists
Assists in identifying and communicating proper food safety practices to team
Cleaning of kitchen equipment and work/storage areas
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency certificate
Culinary degree or 5 years of industry experience
Preferred Skills and Experience:
At least 5 years of industry experience working in hotline stations
Customer service or guest interaction experience
Ability to communicate regarding menu, prep list, and orders
Advanced knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment
Knowledge of all cooking methods, sauce making and meat and vegetable preparations
Additional Requirements:
Ability to carry large heavy items unassisted (up to 25 lbs.)
Able to stand for long period of time - up to 8 hours a day
Must be available to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
Able to perform frequent bending, stooping, and lifting objets
Must have or be able to obtain CA food handlers card
