CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Salary + Bonus (Exempt)

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sales Representative is responsible for growing Smog City’s presence and volume across on- and off-premise accounts within their territory. This role focuses on sustainable growth, relationship-building, distributor collaboration, and brand execution in the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow distribution and sales volume across assigned territories on- and off-premise accounts (including broad market & chains) 

  • Manage relationships, follow ups and sales needs on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis

  • Perform self-distro deliveries, including loading, delivery, and payment collection

  • Balance time effectively between sales (account visits), deliveries, events, and follow ups

  • Complete weekly recap reports and maintain timely follow-up communication

  • Track activity using CRM tools for calls, planning, and follow-ups

  • Execute an average of 2 retail-focused events per month / 6 per quarter to educate consumers (including but not limited to: festivals, events, and company activations as needed)

  • Partner with wholesalers to drive brand growth and market execution

  • Increase account velocity through displays, POS, resets, education, sampling, and promotions

  • Communicate cross-functionally with internal & distribution teams

  • Manage expenses & a monthly budget responsibly 

  • Represent and embody Smog City’s brand, culture, and values

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–3 years of sales experience (beverage industry preferred)

  • Strong communication skills (in-person, phone, email, messaging platforms)

  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Budget management experience

  • Craft beer and draft system knowledge preferred

  • Industry relationships a plus

  • Clean driving record and reliable vehicle required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in tight or confined spaces

  • Stand, walk, crouch, and sit for extended periods

  • Lift 50 lbs regularly and maneuver kegs up to 165 lbs
